Melvina Manor
2008
Melvina Manor is a Halloween Yard Display designed by Owner and Operator Rich Koehler. Rich will be on site when our display is open to greet our visitors, answer any questions and guide you on a tour of the display.
Our display has a Thirteen foot tall clock tower, graveyard and crypt which houses the Ghost of Melvina Manor. 
If you are touring Yard Displays, Haunts and Haunted Houses in Illinois in October please stop by and visit our display. The display changes yearly. Often there will be new props, some props will be retired, and some props will be redesigned. We will be open on the days listed on our calendar. Here are some highlights of what you may see during your visit.
Melvina Manor Sign The Melvina Manor Sign marks the beginning of our display. On days which the display is open our sign helps our guest easily find us. If you are in the area and you see our sign stop by and take visit our display.
Graveyard
The entrance to our graveyard is guarded by gargoyles perched on handcrafted lighted pillars. Many of the props within the graveyard have been handcrafted and animated in our workshop. Special lighting gives that extra spooky feel as our guest walk through the yard.
The Ghost of Melvina Manor The Ghost of Melvina Manor stands in the doorway of her crypt waiting to greet our visitors. With her glowing eyes and eerie voice she has caught many of our guests by surprise. We think she enjoys seeing how many of our visitors will scream at the sight of her.
Her crypt is handcrafted Styrofoam on a wood base. Using various elements we created her crypt to appear to be made of stone. Don't worry the crypt is strong enough to hold our ghost. She hasn't escaped yet, at least we don't think she has, but you never know what may happen.
Thirteen Foot Haunted Clock Tower
Our clock tower has been a main attraction of our display. In 2008 the tower was increased in height to slightly over thirteen feet. The top portion of the tower was completly redesigned to improve it's appearance and add lighting to the top of the tower. Our tower is haunted by an animated ghost. Kids and adults enjoy activating the ghostly presence. The tower is hand crafted from styrofoam and with various elements like stucco and paint has created the illusion of brick and mortar. Our visitors are amazed and insist that the tower must be made of real brick and cement. The clock keeps accurate time. Special lighting and smoke add to the eerie affect.
